Thor: TDW - The Official Game is an Android game release alongside the Thor: The Dark World movie.

Thor: TDW - The Official Game is Android video game by Gameloft that celebrates the Thor: The Dark World movie, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic universe. If you’re a fan of Marvel, then you’ll really get a kick out of this game. However, this is a good game in its own right, and even if you know nothing about Thor at all, you can have a blast playing this one.

Thor: TDW is large game that requires 1.6 GB of space. Once you’ve downloaded it, run it to play. It’ll give you the option to start a new game or to pick up where you last left off. The game itself is basically a hack-and-slash experience, but it manages to not get repetitive with a slew of unique levels, weapons and powers that you can equip as you increase in level and different allies that you can choose.

Training and fighting alongside other legendary Asgardians is a lot of fun, and choosing to bring one ally over another can really change how a level will play out or how difficult it is. The graphics are quite good, and you control almost everything with a tap. Single or repeated taps will move you in a particular direction or attack a mob. Battle can take place up close and personal or at range thanks to a selection of missile attacks, including throwing Mjolnir at your enemies.

Thor: TDW is a fun game that offers but doesn’t get bogged down in microtransactions. It’s also a sequel to the first movie-licensed game, and those who played will enjoy a lot of callbacks to that game.

Minor bug fixes.

Potentially dangerous permissions

  • GET_ACCOUNTS: Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to read from external storage.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to write to external storage.

Other permissions

  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows applications to access information about networks.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
  • INTERNET: Allows applications to open network sockets.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
  • VIBRATE: Allows access to the vibrator.
  • WAKE_LOCK: Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
